@rajbhagatt @TNGeography Definitely quarries are affecting kanniyakumari district for the past 10 years rainfall intense is less in swm period many places are exploited more than their limits for mans greed. Chithirancode is the hub of quarries. Surulacode, maramalai is prone to landslide areas

So many station underreporting in kanniyakumari district and also no aws in hill areas like upper kodhayar, lower kodhayar of kanniyakumari district which is the wettest district in TN after nilgiris district @KKSSRR_DMK

The below image is the kozhiporuvilai rain Guage located in Marthandam rto office,where the top part of rain Guage is down and damaged and it is so close to trees.This is the situation of many rainguages(colachel, kaliyal, chittar1) in kanniyakumari district.
