only two ewes left to lamb and then I get to lie in a bit and go to bed! - until next year. Rebuilding fences nearly done,- ins. co. useless

Wall knocked down rebuilt, wind blown trees dragged out of river, shelter site cleared, knackered and ..insurance co. being prevaricating !!

the storm destroyed a field shelter full of lambs! all ok. Blew it over hedge into road, smashing it- 75 mph gust apparently. trees down

Sleet this morning, but why no snow, sledge is ready-- otherwise pruning with frozen hands , Rotavator still stuck in mud,veg patch can wait

Road side hedge will finished tomorrow-Hurray One taller but shorter field hedge to do and then pruning starts, and burning rubbish. Yes!!

Back to hedging before the 'legal time up' for it arrives. Cannot believe I will finish in time, aaah!. Horses ,dogs, lambs and mud, mud!

Well the surprise lambers are done, ten lambs alive with ten mums all in!, now I can wait for the main flock, heck it is wet and muddy! Vile

3 lambs born dead, 8 alive with 1 ewe to go, then the rest of the flock at end April as planned!! Walk in the country' shut gates please'!!

The.....who trespassed and left gates open in the summer should help with lambs now in the cold and wet being born, like to neuter him!!!

Now laying the hedge on road edge, not much traffic but unnerving to have a lorry behind you suddenly when chainsawing.!! Hey ho Xmas comes.

Ripped hands despite gloves, wet despite coat, aching despite chainsaw,and hook, but I am now a third done. Got to be an easier life!!

Cursing brambles, really sharp this year and thick, laying ' dorset style' and progress is slow but it gets done, horses have to be patient!
