This is not the experiment that started the pandemic. The sequence TGGTCGC is indeed found in SARS2, but not as a TRS. It's in ORF1a, encoding the amino acid sequence Glycine-Arginine, as you can see in this image. A TRS doesn't code for any amino acids, it's between a STOP...

It does not show Omicron origin in deer, just the capacity of deer to human transmission.

On top of that, they are tiny fragments. On this scale you will find similarities with tons of proteins, especially pathogenic, since they have to fight immune system recognition.
