I really hope the government will not means test the disability allowance either. Glad to hear about carers being non-means tested but we know and must respond to the additional cost to disabled people themselves. @MichealMartinTD@SimonHarrisTD
Our Senior OT, @BarbaraRingwoo1 was talking about Digital Literacy and Competencies for student with intellectual disabilities on the final day of the @IASSIDD World Congress 2024 in @SheratonChicago hotel in Chicago.
My job as a #GuideDog takes me to lots of different places & today I was back in @UCC where I did some of my training back in 2019/20. The best part of the day for me was seeing @CaraHueston who I hadn’t seen since 2020. @irishguidedogs#ChangingLives
Fantastic news. Our application for the research group to be recognised as a social inclusion organisation was accepted today @SligoPPN This will help us to access funding to do more research & dissemination activities to create awareness on our research. @triciablee#disability

The recording session was a step towards translating this research into practical resources.🙌
Let's keep fostering inclusion! 💖
#MakeWayDay is about raising awareness of the obstacles that people with disabilities come across while using the public spaces that we all share, many of which are highlighted in the article from @IrishTimes https://t.co/YzX2AdRhXl
Looking forward to presenting at @ECER_EERA tomorrow (24th August at 1.30pm) discussing aspects of research that to date remains under explored resulting in many knowledge gaps. #InclusionIsEveryonesBusiness@SchoolofEdTCD
My favourite clients have always been the ones who don't want to engage with the system; my kind of people. If everyone accepts what is offered, nothing will improve.
Really enjoyed lecturing in @IDTCD the last 3 weeks. A mix of my favourite things, teaching & learning, creativity, disability rights, team work, relationships, sexuality & research. It all came together today. What a fantastic class @donacamedda @RathVivian @DesAston @mccartpm
Our students are trying to spread awareness about JAM cards as part of their #Marketing module. JAM cards help people to discreetly ask for time and space and to have 'Just a Minute' when they need it.

@INHEForum@mtu_csm an Oscar worthy performance by Occupational Therapists from Trinity and DCU on the importance on asking the individual themselves what support and strategies they need to be able to participate in higher education
