1. @elonmusk has every right to support Trump but he has become one of the most malign forces in politics
He has used his control of this platform to spread lies, many deeply rooted in racism, to millions of people
It is likely the most expensive disinformation campaign ever
@TrueFactsStated Wait, is he attempting to insult the gun here?
Truly hate the return of the R word. Use of it is a sign of rock-bottom morality. I mean, that and the imagery of aiming at gun at someone...
Russia's influence operations have shifted gears in response to Kamala Harris's nomination and have begun spreading misinformation (including doctored videos) to undermine her, according to a new report from Microsoft. https://t.co/6r7lzJFlbK
@jessehawken Oh, when Homer tells Lisa that he chooses the music because he's driving, and then it switches to her driving so she can listen to her music
@heykayadams I'm probably too late but this place is a hidden gem, I only know about it because my sister lives there and shared this with me: https://t.co/HKvScusoxt
One of the most dangerous things Israelis do is label any media outlet that says things they don't like as unreliable. It started with the BBC. Then moved to the New York Times, NBC, Reuters and AP. The Washington Post and even the Wall Street Journal. Then Haaretz became the enemy of Israel. After that, Ynet and Channel 12 were labeled as too left-wing. Soon you are getting your news from a few paranoid right-wing outlets scared to report anything bad about Israel so their readers will stick with them.
Listen, if you have to ignore most of the major and respected publications in the world, you are retreating into a tiny bubble and ignoring reality. The rest of the world is using these sources and for good reason. It is far better to improve our behavior than boycott all the media ever. Just because info doesn't exist in your little bubble, doesn't mean it isn't real.
BREAKING
John Giles, the Republican mayor of Mesa, AZ announced he is endorsing Kamala Harris for President: "Our party used to stand for the belief that every Arizonan, no matter their background or circumstances, should have the freedom, opportunity and security to live out their American Dream.
But since Donald Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election, Republicans have yet to course correct. The Republican Party with Trump at its helm continues down the path of political extremism, away from focusing on our fundamental freedoms...
In the spirit of the late Sen. John McCain’s motto, “Country First,” I call on other Arizona Republicans to join me in choosing country over party this election and to vote against Donald Trump."
@SydneyBattle Thank you. I feel like they could have come up with 30 or 40 ideas that were better than this for an ad for AI if they had talked about it for 5 minutes.
Oh my goodness AI did this ad, didn't it
Biden is out. The media succeeded in their coup. Elon is giving $45M a month to Trump. You don't have any control over what happened today, but we're taking the election into our own hands and building Kamala's digital army.
Here's how:
• retweet this (super super important)
• reply with #NoDemUnder1K
• Elon has disabled viewing "likes" so tap "reposts"
• follow everyone who reposts this
• tap the # and follow those accounts as well
• follow each other back (super important)
If you have more than 10k followers, retweet a few of the replies so they can find others as well.
The follow limit is 400 per day. So you if you stick to 375, That's 2600+ in a week and 10k in a month.
Make sure you add a pic to your profile(even if it isn't you) and put an indentifier in your bio so that people know you're voting blue so they'll follow you back instead of thinking you're a bot
If you start today and only half the people follow you back, you'll have over 1k followers in a week and 10k in two months if you're diligent and proactive.
It does require all of you to collectively be proactive and also reciprocal.
Make sure you comment on the posts of the people you follow. Build a community. Create groups of core friends/shared perspectives/vocal leaders. The more interconnected we are, the further we'll be able to reach.
The retweet button is your best friend. Retweet anything good regardless of how many followers they may have. Find your voiced, share your thoughts, and we can blow the media and the gop out of the water.
You can't singlehandedly change anything by yourself, but with enough of us working together, we can save our democracy, even if you only have a thousand people following you. But once you have the support structure of knowing people want to listen to what you have to say, you'll have more and more to share.
While that doesn't seem like much, 4 years ago, I was you. No followers. No voice. Democracy on the line. Feeling helpless. In that sense, you're neither unique, nor alone. And if you do feel alone, you won't be for long. If you do feel helpless, forget what you can't do and focus on what you can.
It's going to take every single one of us working in unison, united behind Kamala Harris, to save ourselves.
Help me build this thing. Help us support Kamala. Help us save democracy. Help us win.
