Someday, despite everything we already suspect, we’re going to be absolutely floored — when we finally learn just how truly colossal the sums were that the Kremlin poured into this war, bankrolling entire armies of useful idiots, “philosophers,” “independent thinkers,” “citizen journalists,” outright political influence agents, high-ranking corrupt officials, collaborators, and every other kind of the 21st century info war criminals from one end of the world to the other, all of them spending years pumping out terabytes of the lowest-grade disinformation and propaganda against Ukraine.
Russia’s cover is blown.
There is no unbeatable Russia. Just a dying empire madly trying to destroy what they can’t conquer.
Political & business leaders worldwide who believed the ‘mighty Russia’ myth & thought Ukraine had no chance now watch Moscow burn. The tide is turning.
Ukrainian drones pierced Moscow’s layered air defense and hit the Kapotnya oil refinery.
The plant supplies 40% of the region’s gasoline, 50% of its diesel, and aviation fuel for military needs, Ukrainska Pravda.
Last night, our long-range sanctions once again reached the Moscow region – for the second time this week, the Moscow oil refinery was hit. Targets were also struck in the Rostov region and in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This is a fully justified response to Russian attacks on our cities and communities, and another important result of our warriors’ work against facilities that sustain Russia’s war machine. I thank our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine for their coordinated efforts – the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, Defense Intelligence, and our missile brigade for their precision.
In recent days, all of our partners have noted the precision and effectiveness of our mid-range strikes and long-range sanctions. It is time the war ended, and Russia must take the necessary steps in diplomacy.
To understand the scale of today’s Russian crime against humanity’s historical heritage: it is the equivalent of bombing St. Peter’s Basilica in a war of conquest against Italy, or Notre-Dame de Paris against France, Westminster Abbey against Britain, or Aachen Cathedral.
I cannot believe what I’m witnessing in Kyiv tonight. Priests at the Kyiv Lavra one of the holiest Christian sites in Europe are rushing to save crucifixes, icons and sacred artefacts while Russia attacks the city.
This is what Moscow’s “Christian values” look like.
I’m sure Europeans will continue enjoying their Tchaikovsky and Netrebko concerts while Russia bombs cathedrals and literally burns paintings in a major art museum. Keep going like this, guys! In hoc signo vinces!
Donald Trump proposes a 1.776 billion slush fund for terrorists. In my book "On Freedom" I proposed $1776 as guaranteed monthly fixed income for Americans. Each kind of future is possible. We choose.
Today the Venice Biennale opens and Russia has spent millions parading their “culture” at a shiny pavilion.
In reality, they bombed over 2,600 hospitals, maternity wards, and schools since 2022.
That’s Russian culture.
Very revealing video from a partner of a Russian soldier. She says that she worries for him. But instead of wanting him back home she decides to move to occupied land. And settle in an abandoned, allegedly before war, Ukrainian home. As if that fries land https://t.co/lNLYG4n0Ff
It is crucial for those not closely following the war in Ukraine to understand that most Russian soldiers joined voluntarily, largely motivated by pay.
The genocide in Ukraine is largely carried out by ordinary Russians who volunteered for money
in the war of imperialism vs democracy, outsourcing our defence in multi-billion contracts to arms factories, "magic" tech and professional soldiers won't cut it anymore.
@KareemRifai And the few long range weapons that did get delivered came with pointless restrictions on strikes on ru territory so we couldn’t bomb the shahed production/storage facilities in the first place
Make no mistake, Russian soldiers have committed atrocities in Ukraine, things we haven’t seen since WWII. Over 25,000 people, including women and children, were slaughtered in Mariupol alone, and Russia continues to bomb cities, schools and hospitals.
It’s absolutely sickening that someone made this decision. The ignorance is unbelievable.
Bear in mind: The Ukrainians are not asking us Americans to commit troops to their cause (and the Free World's, frankly). They are not asking us to bomb the Kremlin. They are asking for arms, money, and moral support -- such as not voting against them at the U.N.
Millions of tourists from around the planet in Dubai have just witnessed what Ukrainians have had to deal with right in front of them. Perhaps this is the moment the world wakes up and realises what happens when you allow dictators to run wild.
