The post war period was much kinder to Geneviève. She found love and married a former resister, Bernard Anthonioz, and they married in May 46 and would go on to have four children. She became president of an association for former deportees and ensured that the evils of Nazism were not forgotten. She even took the witness stand at the trial of the Butcher of Lyon, Klaus Barbie in 1987. She dedicated her life to those less fortunate and passed away in Paris on 15 February 2002 aged 81. 9/9
