We know there continues to be a disparity in the provision & awareness of bereavement services across the country.
We aim to ensure every bereaved family receives the help they need through immediate signposting to charities & support services right for them.
Thankyou @UHP_NHS
Listen, child of God, to the guidance of your teacher. Attend to the message you hear and make sure that it pierces to your heart……
Prayers for all Benedictine communities this day!
St Benedict, pray for us.🙏🏻

Keep us alert, Lord,
to the signs of your kingdom;
a kingdom which is
already and not yet,
a kingdom which is
among us, between us,
and just beyond us,
to which we journey
as pilgrims on your way.
Lift our eyes to your vision,
and set our course
for our true home.
Today, having received a writ of summons at the beginning of the new Parliament, I made my oath again in @UKHouseofLords in order to “give counsel” on “the state and defence of Our United Kingdom and the Church”. An enormous privilege and responsibility.
A great testimony to the power of rebuilding music ministry around children and young people, growing disciples and creating life-enhancing pathways for young musicians.
We are delighted to announce that a new chaplaincy service to support the #LGBTQI+ community is being established within our Diocese. The Chaplaincy will offer listening, supportive & prayerful affirmation for LGBTQI+ people & ensure a radical welcome to all God’s children. More 👉 https://t.co/HvjMmAWAyR
Gosh! 8 years ago I was introducing ideas about the charity I wanted to launch.
My passion, my vision and my purpose after the death of my partner Graham.
Thankyou everyone for helping me on this journey!
Our 8th Anniversary @goodgrieftrust this year.
Onwards & upwards!!
Six big changes we’re asking the new Government to make to the education system 👇
1. Mental health professionals in every single school.
2. A fully funded plan to put mental health and wellbeing at the heart of every school’s culture.
3. A more compassionate approach to behaviour, starting with banning isolation booths.
4. Redefining what success looks like at school with fewer high-pressure exams and more emphasis on preparing young people for life beyond school.
5. Universal free school meals for all school children.
6. Bring back Education Maintenance Allowance to provide financial support to young people while they’re studying.
Our education system needs to change. Instead of piling academic pressure on young people, it should prioritise their mental health, encourage creativity and properly prepare them for the next stage of their life.
These are the urgent changes we’re asking the Government to make.
Cultivating silence.
Practising awareness.
Listening with the heart.
All a beautiful doorway into God.
Maranatha is your mantra.
On gentle repeat.
Coast into the quiet realm
and meet with pure holiness.
Stay there for as long as you need.
After?
Thanks be to God.
In the mid 90s I nearly ran RS Thomas over on a zebra crossing in Lampeter. I’d only just learned to drive. I should’ve anticipated him stepping out. I didn’t. He was cross. Over the decades it’s really sunk in what a remarkable moment that was. Very glad he survived. #RSThomas
"Mattering" is the belief that we’re significant to the world around us. When people feel they matter, they feel seen, important & needed through how others treat them. Scholars have deemed mattering to be a core instinct that drives all human behaviour. That’s why, when someone doesn’t believe they matter at work they:
- won’t share their voice if they don’t believe their voice is significant
- won’t use their strengths if they don’t believe they have strengths
- won’t contribute if they don’t believe they have something to contribute
- won’t care as much as if they feel cared for
Actions that leaders/ teams can take: see some excellent articles by @ZachMercurio - "How to Create Mattering at Work": https://t.co/vlxLnrqGWF and "The Cost of Not Mattering at Work": https://t.co/AocAKNMhxm.

Whatever the context we inhabit, Lord,
whatever the circumstances,
whatever the challenges,
whatever the prospects,
whatever the opportunities,
may we ever live as who we are;
living stones in the temple of your glory,
revealing by our lives the love that saves us.
So @churchofengland this is what the young people, mostly those attending Church Schools, expect our churches to be like. How about we check this list against Parish Priorities and Mission Action Plans?

Lord, give us
the faith, strength,
courage and resolve
to follow your will,
your way, your wisdom,
even if it means letting go
of things in which we have invested
our self, security, or certainties.
May we trust our whole selves to you,
as you give your all for us.
Not the most elegant of photos but shows the joy of just being licked in the face when you're trying to give a blessing... Praying for all recently ordained sisters and brothers #ThisIsWhatAPriestLooksLike

You call us, Lord,
to tend your vineyard well,
and to care for its people;
guide us in all the decisions we take,
and all the choices we make,
that we may seek
the furtherance of your mission,
the wellbeing of your people,
the health of your world,
the common good.
