I've been working on this 3d model for the last couple of weeks and it has been a rollercoaster of all kinds of emotions. I was so excited with this hoping to do a lot of Valko/MC fanart . Now I don't know what to do with his model, should I -
with how quiet infold has been moving lately, from removing valko, censoring the numbers in the catch22 outfits, deleting xavier's world underneath... i wouldn't be surprised if we're heading toward a regression where future content becomes way less spicy and mature.
it's devastating as a creative because i am intrigued by each LI's morally grey side. but now that government is actively involved, i'm genuinely worried they'll only put out sanitized, "safe" content that loses the depth that resonates with us.
literally no one is safe from censorship here. it risks ruining calebmc's sibling dynamic, and it risks killing the spicy banners like lingering lust or nightly rendezvous that we look forward to.
infold’s lack of communication and terrible pr are undeniably awful, but the toxic players who weaponized and spread the 731 narrative are equally at fault. they dragged the game into a space where everything might be heavily monitored and restricted now.
no one is winning here. unless infold somehow pulls off a miracle with their negotiations, i don't know if the game can mantain the same direction we all fell in love with.
And still, after everything you wrote, Valko himself had nothing to do with Unit 731.
You could have demanded accountability. You could have demanded explanations. You could have demanded changes, apologies, transparency, and better treatment for CN players — all of that would have been understandable.
But removing an entire character was not the solution.
You could have chosen not to celebrate when he was cancelled. You could have chosen not to laugh at global players who were devastated. You could have shown the company that deleting him only made things worse.
And if you don’t care about us, what about the CN players who loved him too? I saw Chinese girls who liked Valko, and I saw how they were treated when they dared to show affection for him. Why is it acceptable to hurt them too?
Why does disliking a character mean he has to be erased for everyone?
As you said yourselves, deleting him does not fix the deeper problems. So why support that outcome? Why ride that wave instead of telling the company that this decision was also wrong?
The developers are not the executives. They worked on him. Artists, writers, animators, designers, VAs — real people put time, effort, and resources into creating him. Does none of that matter?
And why bring up 731 now, when that content had already existed in the game for some time? Why did Valko become the target?
Not everyone will like every character. That is normal. But that does not mean a character should be deleted from the game entirely.
Global players are around 40% of the game’s revenue. That is not a small number. We are not irrelevant.
And a lot of what you described above is localization. Games do this all the time. It does not automatically mean disrespect. Global players also complained when Caleb’s story felt changed or culturally flattened, and over time the company listened. So why destroy everything instead of pushing for better handling?
If you see how devastated global players are after his cancellation, why not help us push back against the company? CN players have more influence by nature. You know that.
We have respected CN players’ concerns many times. We have followed your discussions. We have tried to understand your side.
So why, when global players finally have one serious fight of our own, are you not helping us?
This should not be CN versus global. The company failed both sides. But cancelling Valko punished players who did nothing wrong — including CN players who loved him.
Everyone’s shaming Valko mains for falling in love over a 47-second video, meanwhile I saw this 36-second clip of Rafayel back in 2024 and immediately vowed to dedicate my whole life and my wallet to this man. A woman’s mind shouldn’t be shamed like this.
