We integrated. We paid in. We followed the rules, for a decade.
All of us entered the system before 2021 (Pre-Boris Wave), under the rules that existed then.

If the government now says settlement should take 10 years, fair enough.
But many of us have already done that, so why should we be asked to do another 10?

Changing the rules after the fact is unfair and damaging.
Transitional protections aren’t optional, they’re essential.

@TheSnowDreamer 6 months ago I had a small metacarpal fracture in my right arm’s wrist. My pinky finger has sunk into my wrist a bit making it shorted than my left arm’s pinky. 6 months have gone by and I still feel the gnarly pain in my wrist. It’s the worst and limited my mobility in the gym.

So in all of this, have they decided to scrap the 10years long residence route to settlement? Cos any care worker that has stayed in the country for 10years can apply for ILR through that and not have to wait for the proposed 15years, no?
