@QolaTem Not really. Ashenda has events of an agricultural festival which comes after a very difficult fasting period known as Felsata. And the joy expressed only makes sense in the context of the seasons changing, and emerging from a difficult fast. Or else it is just 🎸 rock and roll

@NegedeYehuda And why would one rejoice while being persecuted? If it is to imitate Christ, it does not seem he rejoiced in his persecution. Neither was he angry abt it. So how can rejoicing in one’s persecution bring a Christ like redemption when the Lord himself was far from this sentiment?
