Instead I can provide highly-cited works amongst Biblical scholars that all agree that the Gospels were anonymous, would you accept that as evidence of a consensus?

The only epistles whose scholars acknowledge authorship with high confidence are Paul's letters. Paul was a contemporary of Jesus.
