Unpopular #Swarla Opinion:
Lisa made mistakes when Becky was around, but so did Carla. Becky brought out the worst in both of them and that was the point.
Becky's manipulation of Lisa only worked because she was also able to manipulate Carla and use both of their weaknesses and insecurities against them to drive them apart.
That doesn't make Carla less than, it just makes her human. She saw the woman she loved slipping away and she panicked and reacted.
I feel like Sarah went to see Todd and instead found Theo, ended up pushing him (in self-defense), Gary saw this happen and knew that Theo would try to twist it to send Sarah to prison, so he hit him over the head, killing him, so Theo couldn't talk #corrie
Ramp makes far more sense for Bobby than it does Connie, especially since it wasn't there the last time they filmed stuff in the back for Connie #corrie#swarla
Why does that article about Asha's new love interest make me feel like something is going to happen between her and Summer? She's the only one I can think of where a relationship may be described as "a little sad" and require Asha to be supportive #corrie
Jodie having the most appearances this season isn't an issue with Jodie as the character, in my opinion, but #Corrie's overall issue with storyline pacing.
For whatever reason, Corrie has just lost the ability to pace their storylines and they drag on for too long...
It happened with Becky, it happened with Carl, it happened with Theo and Todd, it's happening with the murder storyline, it seems to be happening with Debbie's storyline, it happened with Lisa and Carla's wedding, and it's happening with Jodie.
I don't know if they're trying to do too much or if they don't have enough ideas to get them through their general timeline or what, but it's an issue present with pretty much every storyline right now on Corrie. I can't think of a storyline that is being paced well
@sarahlawson84 Honestly, I think even Todd/Theo went on a little bit too long narratively. Like, I know that in real life, these things can go on for years and years and years, but television wise, that story dragged a bit too
@joan94868 Again, I don't think that's an issue with Jodie, I think it's an issue with pacing. We're going to learn all of that stuff eventually, they just take too long to reveal the things that need to be revealed
@Helenkeenan121 I don't necessarily think that's the issue, because the episodes were always written as half-hour episodes, it's why there was always two writers for each one-hour episode. One writer did the first 30 minutes, the other the second, they were just put together
I feel like a lot of things in this fandom that should be called out, are ignored, and a lot of things that should be ignored, are called out, and it has everything to do with who belongs to each group
