@connie_hayes123 @BritishCycling The system is broken across the board, ignoring the safety issues, grass roots road racing at Reg A/B level is almost non-existent now, the few events that do exist barely attract enough riders to run. The decline since 2019 is quite shocking.

@connie_hayes123 @joehudson93 The situation is poor across the board with many fewer regional RRs than just a few years ago, same story though, once the clubs/volunteers stop putting them on there's little support, financial or otherwise,+once the events stop it's markably more effort to get them going again.

We are still looking for more entries to make this race viable. We have opened the race to 2nd category women to try and get a field size that will allow us to run the race.

@Alec_Pedaler Our late summer series last year at the Hog hit the 60 rider limit with pre-entries 6 weeks before the event for the 3/4cat which was unheard of. That didn't carry through to this year and events are much quieter than pre-covid, many ppl that raced prior to covid aren't it seems.

@Alec_Pedaler @spragg247 Yes thats my understanding, we had a something similar happen at FG track league last season, some thought if you're more than half a lap ahead youre on the back, but comms clarified as unless you 'take a lap' you're on the front.

@honorelliott_ @bikepixiliz Ouch, yeah doesn't look like they've had a 'normal' journey, my advice is to use a hard case and go right up to the weight limit, the handlers will struggle to throw a 32kg case. Also protects it when you get multiple 32kg cases on top of it, soft bags not so much.

@PhillipsNeil 0.6t CO2 is also roughly what driving a normal sized petrol car 2500miles produces so most drivers well exceed that a year too 😔

@fullgascycling @honorelliott_ @velociposse Running the women's races on a shared circuit with one of the other races surely has very little financial implication. There are very few other options at the London circuits during the winter season for women's races if you aren't putting any on.
