🔻Satellite images of 🇷🇺 Olenya Airbase as of August 23, 09:54 UTC
The airbase housed 2 Tu-95MS (Bear-H), 34 Tu-22M3 (Backfire-C), and 3 An-12 (Cub).
Today, at around 11:30 UTC, two more Tu-95MS took off from Engels-2 Air Base and later landed at Olenya Air Base at around 14:00 UTC.
❗️ As of now, all four Tu-95MS at Olenya Air Base are likely armed with cruise missiles and ready for combat use
During combat missions, all launches of Kh-101 missiles mainly occur no earlier than 2 AM., since their flight time is approximately 90 minutes (1.5 hours), and by that time it starts to get partially light, allowing them to "see" using optical guidance. Launches earlier than that are not feasible, as in the darkness without this targeting, the missiles are extremely inaccurate.
🇷🇺 Last night, alongside the start of the Russian Navy's "July Storm" exercises, a scheduled strategic aviation flight took place.
6 Tu-95MS (Bear-H) aircraft departed from Ukrainka airbase (Amur region) and flew over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea, supported by several Il-78M (Midas) aerial refueling tankers. They were escorted on the Russian side by Su-30SM (Flanker-C) and Su-35S (Flanker-E) fighter jets.
During certain stages of the flight, the bombers were accompanied by foreign fighter aircraft. The total flight duration exceeded 15 hours.

The photo shows a Tu-160 strategic bomber with the snow-covered Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano in the background, located on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The image was likely taken at Yelizovo Air Base, where five such aircraft had previously been redeployed.

Today, Russian long-range aviation carried out another "demonstrative" flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
Three Tu-22M3 (Backfire) long-range bombers took off from Olenya Airbase in the Murmansk Region. According to the Russian MoD, they were escorted by Su-27 (Flanker) and Su-30SM (Flanker-H) fighters. The flight lasted more than 4 hours.

@gerryagnew30 Haha, I thought it was a new post, but turns out it's already a bit old. It's the Russian Navy, Baltic/Northern Fleets - needs clarification, I don't have much info of that kind.
