Meta Pool

The liquid staking layer for the onchain economy

[Meta Pool @meta_pool]

Proud of what Node Studio Cohort 1 achieved over the past year 🌐

What started as an effort to make validator infrastructure more accessible became a network of operators actively supporting @NEARProtocol.

🔹55 validators.
🔹5.6M $NEAR across the cohort.
🔹1 full year of operations.

Built with @NEARProtocol, @NEARFoundation and @Openmesh_Network to make validator infrastructure more accessible.

Here’s what this year looked like ⬇️

NEAR’s Q3 report starts to quantify early demand for private inference:

→ 750K+ NEAR staked for confidential inference in the program’s first quarter, in exchange for recurring compute credits
→ 139B+ inference tokens processed through OpenRouter in under three months since launch

SVRN CEO @sal_ternullo on why private inference will quickly become a requirement for companies:

What stays the same:

• mpDAO locking and voting power.
• Direct voting on validators, grants and memes.
• Core Vote-to-Earn mechanics.
• mpDAO token economics or supply.

Your vote shapes Meta Pool governance.

Cast it before Oct 27 👇

[Meta Pool @meta_pool]

MPIP-31 is now open for voting 🗳️

The proposal aims to simplify Meta Pool governance by deprecating two underused features:

🔹Delegated Voting
🔹Vote Expiration Cycles

Voting closes on Oct 27, 4 PM UTC.

Here's what would change, and what wouldn't 🧵

[Meta Pool @meta_pool]

Vote Expiration automatically removed old voting positions.

What would change:

• Automatic expiration is disabled.
• Cycle-based renewal windows are removed.
• Your existing positions stay active until you change or remove them.

Privacy became the default on @near_intents in Q3 🛡️

~$10.4B in quarterly volume.

Confidential, crosschain and secure, by design ✅

[Nansen @nansen_ai]

.@NEARProtocol’s Q3 was really about Intents, privacy and the agent economy.

~$10.4B in quarterly Intents volume, Confidential Intents opened up to all integrators, and more than 750,000 NEAR staked for AI inference.

Claudio Cossio shares how Meta Pool began with a message on Discord, how he met Lucio, and the lessons that keep him building in DeFi.

Watch it here ⤵️

[Meta Pool @meta_pool]

Meta Pool started with a simple question in the @NEARProtocol Discord: who's running a node from Latin America?

That's how our co-founders, Claudio and @lucio_tato, met, chatting in English until they realized they both spoke Spanish.

Our co-founder Claudio on how it all began ⤵️

[Madaba @0xMadaba]

NEAR roughly doubled since mid-September, there's a spot ETF now, and a lot of people are looking at the ecosystem for the first time

This is the map I'd use to get around. 17 projects, sorted by what they do and whether they have a token

Core stack
@near_intents: the cross-chain swap layer, $35B+ settled. Protocol revenue funds near:native buybacks
https://t.co/CSqv9cxiQz: NEAR's own app. ~$147M sits in private balances on Intents
@near_ai: private AI cloud, IronClaw agents and an agent marketplace

Wallets
@hotdao_: did ~65% of all NEAR txs in Q2, a lot of that is mining and Telegram activity though. Token not live yet
@MeteorWallet: switch your account to quantum-safe keys in one click
@noir_wallet: shielded ZEC in a browser extension, built by the RHEA team

DeFi
@rhea_finance: the main DEX, lending and staking protocol on NEAR, ~$280M TVL. DEX revenue funds RHEA buybacks
@meta_pool and @LinearProtocol: liquid staking, $122M and $99M staked

Launchpads
@nearlytrade: tokens go straight into a RHEA pool, $39M volume since Sep 22
@justhootfun: same idea, smaller
@shardsmarket: the bonding curve option, supports ZEC pairs
@tryneartrade: basically Axiom for NEAR, every launchpad in one feed, trade on web or Telegram

Memes
solana:6UtY9iTZMQQ5QZVrbzFnNaJntV7oySm9k97mvwnuZcxr lives on Solana but trades against NEAR, ~$2.9M mcap
$BATMAN one of the biggest memes on NEAR, named after the corgi of co-founder @AlexSkidanov
solana:FHqhvvLCVThubEjeT9kk4UaUNQSawvbWypCn6XM7dF7r and $BLACKDRAGON are OG memes. Both ran hard around Sep 27–28, when NEAR broke $5, and have since retraced sharply

A lot of the new NEAR meme activity flows through RHEA, especially from launchpads like Nearly and JustHoot. If meme demand picks up again, that's where you'll see it first.

What did I miss?
