It’s the end of an era

In 2026 the PS3 & Vita stores will sadly close. Buy all the digital only games and DLC for games that didnt get ported or physical versions now.

And on January 2028 games will be digital only. Say goodbye to ever owning anything and those sales you love so much? Don’t expect them to be as good anymore.

The PS3 was an interesting era for me as a lot was going on in my life but I’ll never forget the countless hours I spent with these classic titles and playing the PlayStation home with friends and going through MGS4 countless times.

History has already proven the physical media is still in demand with vinyl records and even VHS’s coming back into play.

Whatever the future holds I’m glad I was here to see the times with physical media and making memories going out to get games like these on my ps3 back then.

With the PS3/Vita stores shutting down Sony HAS to figure out a proper solution to PS3 backwards compatibility now. One that doesn't involve streaming

There still isn't a viable option to play our digital PS3 games on PS5, so many games/DLC will be gone after the closure...
