Someone recreated my game with AI and is now threatening to publish it on Steam unless I pay him $200.
Obviously, I'm not paying.
First video: my actual game.
Second video: the AI-generated clone.
He apparently found my game through Twitter, fed it into an AI tool, and recreated what he saw.
Now he's asking for $200 or he'll publish it.
I’m sharing this as a heads-up because I assume I’m probably not the only indie dev he's doing this to.
I guess we have to be more careful about sharing our projects publicly now. You can spend months making a game, post it online, and someone can apparently try to recreate it with AI almost immediately.
Not gonna lie, it’s kind of funny, but also not funny at all.

It’s 1983 and you're playing Star Wars at the arcades for the first time, after watching the movies. Words cannot describe it.
For perspective: other popular games around that time were Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Qbert, Joust, and BurgerTime... all great in their own way. But Star Wars literally catapulted you into a whole new universe.
The graphics were nuts, and so were the digitized voices and sound effects straight from the movie (“Use the Force, Luke!”). To top it all off, John Williams’s iconic score delivered maximum nerd chills.
This game will forever be linked to one of the best arcade eras ever.
This indie dev is making a stickman first person shooter inspired by old flash games
- Hijack anyone who answers your phone call
- Turn enemies into remote controlled assassins

- Get shot three times and it's over
Game is 10hit
On this date in 1990, gaming history was being written.
The team that would become id Software sent this letter to Apogee’s Scott Miller, describing the technology behind Commander Keen as an “engine,” a term that would become fundamental to game development.
Today’s update marks a new chapter for Quake Champions as we transition the game from a free-to-play service to a paid application on Steam. Along with 30 Seasons worth of content to enjoy, all Champions are now unlocked for everyone, and most vanity content is available to equip. Battle Passes and microtransactions have been removed. Quake Champions is now available for one low price on Steam. No additional content updates are planned at this time. If you previously played Quake Champions on Steam, the new version will appear in your Steam Library at no additional cost.
