Realistically this is a great tool to pass on historical memory.
In my career I've been in contact with previous devs so many times to understand the previous work; having an AI handy to answer ur questions without having to interrupt the workflow IS indeed great value added and solves a real bottleneck.
Regarding state of the art development, interfacing with the team is unavoidable.
