bittensor:native is more than an asset. It’s capital inside an economy. It's actively allocated:
1⃣ Subnets compete for it
2⃣ Validators direct emissions
3⃣ Miners get funded for producing useful AI
4⃣ Demand helps determine where resources flow
With Bitcoin, value mostly comes from people wanting to hold bitcoin:native .
Long term, @opentensor = money + capital markets + resource allocation for AI
Bitcoin: “There will only ever be 21 million.”
TAO could become: “There will only ever be 21 million and this asset is the reserve capital of a global AI economy.”
bittensor:native is currently the 11th best-performing asset among the Top 100 over the last 24 hours.
And is outperforming Bitcoin over the last 7 days 😎
A lot of disappointment around bittensor:native ’s underperformance this week.
TAO is up 18.7%.
Meanwhile, bitcoin:native is up 22.5%.
That’s only a 3.8 percentage point difference.
Now think about the potential upside.
Which one has more room to outperform from here: Bitcoin or Bittensor?
A little over a year ago, a friend introduced me to @Bitcast_network . Coming from a marketing background, I liked the idea pretty quickly.
But back then, Bitcast was still the Wild West. Everything was so new. Rewards were huge and creators were almost fighting each other because nobody wanted to give up even a small part of their share.
Fast forward one year and it feels like a completely different ecosystem.
The creator drama is no longer the story. Bitcast has matured massively. They kept building and launched @Stitch3_ai , then @outfoldai and rumors say another product might already be around the corner.
Today, no other Bittensor subnet puts more into buybacks and the ecosystem keeps expanding around real products, real costumers and over 1000 real creators.
For me, Bitcast has become a great example of what crypto can look like when a team actually wants to build something useful instead of just building a token.
It's impressive to see what you guys have built. I'm sure that in a year, this success story will be even bigger. 🙌
TL;DR on the Bittensor Ecosystem Last Week Highlights
@bittensor had a strong week focused on real-world adoption and commercial use:
- ForeverMoney brought $TAO to Base via Chainlink CCIP.
- Swarm landed its first commercial drone surveillance deal.
- Synth found Kalshi’s $BTC market increasingly leading Binance price moves.
- Green Compute deployed 240 RTX 5090 GPUs.
- Score introduced Model Foundry with subnet buyback + burn.
- Babelbit launched a real-time Dubbing API.
- URnetwork joined Bittensor with 350K+ monthly users.
Overall, Bittensor subnets are moving from experimentation toward real products, revenue and users.
Keep your eyes on this ecosystem, cos they've so much to offer this space and beyond...
@realcryptopikin@green_compute_ I've spent a lot of time in the VC space over the past few years. I think Bittensor's concept is so much better. The problem really isn't the technology. It's unfortunately, as always, people.
Bitcoin: “There will only ever be 21 million.”
TAO could become: “There will only ever be 21 million and this asset is the reserve capital of a global AI economy.”
The difference between bittensor:native and bitcoin:native matters:
Bitcoin monetizes scarcity
Bittensor is trying to monetize scarcity + productive intelligence
Isn't Bittensor the better Bitcoin then?
@realcryptopikin Imo $TAO could be a mix of Bitcoin and Hyperliquid. The only thing what Bittensor still has to prove: Can it attract more serious businesses to to build on.
I have personally spoken with the operators of at least 20–25 subnets to date, and every conversation makes me incrementally more bullish on $TAO.
The vast majority of these teams are driven by technology and ideology, rather than building in crypto because that is where the easy money is.
Once you understand the impact that even a handful of unicorns emerging from the protocol could have on attention and capital flows, the endless debate around miner emissions versus revenues becomes largely moot.
No crypto protocol, bar Hyperliquid, has come close to offsetting token inflation with revenues. Bitcoin is perhaps the best example. That did not stop it from becoming a $2T asset.
It is still not too late to spend every waking hour studying Bittensor.
The more you understand it, the clearer the opportunity becomes.
Unfortunately, many Bittensor subnets have taken advantage of the Bittensor ecosystem. But remember: Also every successful subnet can make the entire Bittensor network more valuable. ❤️
Dear Diary,
Today is Sunday, August 23, 2026, and $TAO is trading at $233. TAO is still massively mispriced, and the world is still in the early stages of a game-changing network [Bittensor] and larger AI buildout. I feel privileged to have researched it and acted on it when I did.
I anticipate TAO will be trading comfortably above the $1,000 level on this date in 2027 - let's see.
