it's been a fun day of personal attacks, fear-mongering, and misinformation due to my tweet on anti-ai nonsense
this is exactly why I am launching my nonprofit: metanexus institute
metanexus is an approach to the silly loops we are stuck in, experimenting with reinventing a new world
here's a short piece on one of the worst cultural gravity wells keeping us back
Reality is not just something we find.
It is something being made.
And the making is never merely mechanical. Every encounter interprets, responds, selects, and transforms.
The world is constructive all the way down: making and meaning-making woven into the same act.
We are missing the point of the world.
Reality is not a closed order we are supposed to discover, obey, and copy.
It is an open process we are invited to participate in.
That changes how we think about religion, technology, culture, ecology, and what it means to be human.
Metanexus exists to name this deeper failure and to cultivate new practices of perception, relation, play, and ritual adequate to the world we actually inhabit.
We are not merely facing political, ecological, technological, sexual, spiritual, or institutional crises.
We are facing a crisis of misperception: a failure to understand reality, ourselves, and one another as living, relational, unfinished, participatory, and sacred.
Metanexus is not another position in the culture war.
It is an attempt to reveal why the war’s positions are inadequate to reality, and to cultivate practices that allow new forms of life to emerge.
Which came first complex eukaryotes or rising levels of oxygen in the atmosphere in Earth's ancient past? Did one give rise to the other?

Helpful visualization of aerosols (dust, black carbon, sea salt) in atmosphere from forest fires, ocean storms, and wind blown dust. Not good! https://t.co/38yIxFNPXw
