Yesterday, a school-wide scavenger hunt brought together 8 teams to compete in a series of fun challenges. The final task—piecing together a puzzle—revealed the phrase “Welcome to NHS” along with the names of our 17 new inductees. Congratulations!
DCHS students gave back—making treat trays for law enforcement, firefighters, and REA staff, delivering goodie bags to local businesses, caroling downtown and at nursing homes, and writing holiday cards for nursing home residents as well as those receiving Meals on Wheels.

Sad news to report tonight: Cubs Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg has passed away after a long battle with cancer. Sandberg, 65, was a kind, gracious star. One of those guys no one had a bad thing to say about. RIP
