@BaderAlHomoud It's fair to say that the "young Aisha" view doesn't fit with the trend of who Muhammad married, nor is it likely that someone like Abu-Bakr would hand over such a young child for consummation, so the assumption should be that she was much older, explaining many other details.
@RichardDawkins Each country has its time come up, doesn't it... as far as I'm aware of geography, after Denmark, Canada would be next in line for ownership, not the US. I suppose they imagine Greenland is on their border, or that Canada is part of the US.
@elonmusk No this isn't the case. The 12000 refers to people stalking with phone calls, texts etc etc. It isn't referring to normal "free speech online"
@elonmusk It's because the graph is not even remotely accurate, by not comparing similar things. If you compared the same thing the US would no doubt be high above the UK.
@redistrictact@BarackObama I'm not from the US but presumably you need a party-neutral computer program to tweak boundary edges post-vote so that representation outcomes match the popular vote.
@jk_rowling The whole situation that's evolved always missed the main point. Everyone of whatever identity needs both to be safe and also to feel safe; the latter can't be decided by abstract ideals but social realism, which in this instance I would expect to follow gender appearance.
@elonmusk DEMOCRACY is where a president/prime minister acts in accordance with the wishes of the country's elected parliament. I've not noticed much of that going on lately.
Interesting speech by @Vance who presiding over a country with a rather high homicide rate and denial of recognising a prior election should perhaps get his own house in order first before imagining he has a grasp of the dynamics and challenges of what's going on elsewhere...
@brewster_kahle@internetarchive Much appreciation to all! I've been waiting eagerly each day to view an 1882 Italian botany book so I can look something up! The book service really is indispensable :)
@crazyclips_ If it's a genuine clip and the child is being agressive, I'm afraid the kid does need a repercussion. Longer term training in how to act is also necessary.
@NavyLookout@dstlmod@mbda@Leonardo_UK@QinetiQ Defensive weapons of this kind are excellent. I just wish some of our foreign policy decisions were as equally supportable. The two need to go hand-in-hand.
@giladerdan1@UN If no background justifies the murder of innocents (and I agree with that statement), then it sounds like we both agree that the innocents who are now dying in Gaza on account of a background of recent events in Israel is equally unjustified...
@MAKAQueS_keys Your email seemed to bounce. On your Senecio glastifolius webpage your groundsel-like leaves and annual appearance recommend S. elegans = J. elegans ("Purple Groundsel"). S. glastifolius by contrast has simply dentate leaves (fitting its name "Woad-Leaved Ragwort")
@BhadauriaSingh2 Good governance would ensure stability of any size country (if the countries around also have good governance, which is essentially what a large well-governed country is). What's -eventually- needed is a global federation of all countries and functional world parliament.
