Using the blunt force of church law against sisters and brothers — instead of love, kindness, and prayer — is also indicative of spiritual cowardice. Does God need us to resort to un-Godly methods to ‘win’ in a theological conflict? The answer is no.

The sins of lovelessness and pride are the Traditional Plan of the Evil One. Christ’s command is to love one another. Those who do not do this bring shame upon themselves and upon the church.
