My son's Auvi-Q was shipped and left outside in 90+ weather for an unknown duration. Called for a replacement and got denied because we already have one (the extra is for my parents when they are with him). It should not be this difficult to get to epi! The fight continues... 💉

Asked my PGY2 to present meds used for T2DM and to discuss their CV and CHF outcomes to our HF team. Some primary care providers got the invitation forwarded to them and now Endocrine also wants the presentation. Excited for the engagement this has generated! No pressure...

@accpcardprn @chfpharmd Had a patient get admitted to an OSH for a non-CHF cause and he was frustrated that the OSH put him on diabetes protocols (e.g. fingersticks, diet, etc.) since he has never had glycemic issues. Most of my other patients have done well.

@MayaHolsen @accpcardprn @accpinfdprn I have had several patients that were recommended to be admitted but refused and were eventually admitted. Even once discharged their status is still tenuous and have more frequent f/u visits trying to get them stablized.

@accpcardprn @accpinfdprn Phone and video visits are hit & miss. I've been able to conduct more comprehensive med. recs for some - learning about a second pile of medications that are sometimes used. However, some patients are completely distracted - putting me on hold to order hamburgers.
