I thank Kolkata High Court and Hon Justice Sujoy Paul for passing an order in the Chingrighata case of WPA (P) 297 of 2025 Upamanyu Bhattacharya Vs State of West Bengal & Ors. State has been ordered to give traffic block in January for Orange Line Metro construction which will unironically solve the entire Chingrighata jam once the metro starts running from South Kolkata to Sector V, Salt Lake. More on the same after we get the order copy.

#MumbaiMetro switching from Yellow Line (Line-2A) to Red Line (Line-7). This is exactly where both lines have a physical interchange. The branch line in the left extends to #mirabhayander as Line-9 that will operate as extension of Red Line in future.

@RailFanWb Kolkata is pretty fast now, as land acquisition problems have been successfully solved. Not only Kolkata Metro, most of the projects owned by Railways take at least 10 years on an average. This is mostly due to the bureaucratic culture of execution and land acquisition problems.
