It was the middle of the night, at about 1.30am, when Norway lost to England.

Yet thousands of Norwegians went to the Palace in Oslo and celebrated with one final Viking row.

They did not riot. They did not burn cars. They did not smash bus stops or glass windows of shops.

They smiled. The laughed. They saw the positive in their performance. They celebrated their heritage. They were proud of who they have been in the past and who they are today.

Norway might be out of the World Cup 2026 but they are in our hearts.

In the last three weeks, I think we have all fallen a little bit in love with Norwegians.

@tamusystem When Mike Fossum flew, Paul Hill ‘84 was Mission Operations Director. Matt Leonard ‘86 and myself (‘86) helped to organize a yell practice at the Outback before Paul had the yell leaders wake up Mike with the War Hymn. NASA is full of Aggies.

@financedystop My oldest son passed AP calculus with a 4. The College would accept that as credit, but his engineering degree would not. He had to retake calculus in college for degree credit, not college credit.

@KBTXRusty Rusty - you did a story on my son 10 years ago. He is still active duty and so is his wife. They have been “high five-ing” each other for five years on simultaneously deployments. Finally had another kid last month - and now no pay - at all. We owe them more than this.

@rolandsmartin My son, currently an officer, and I had a conversation about this last night. He’s all for it. Was deployed the last two presidential elections so no vote. It’s about DEI and what some people in the military can do and most can not and that impact. Skin color never came up.
