We just wrapped up our summer sampling on the Iowa and Cedar Rivers. Overall we collected 123,457 water samples over the course of about 2,200 river miles. This video (made by University of Iowa undergraduate student Ben Bergquist) captures the 8 sampling trips well!

Today wrapped up roughly 1120 miles driven on the Iowa River this summer. August data showed some interesting differences compared to May, June, and July!

Here is some interesting data generated using a nitrate sensor deployed on a boat traveling the Iowa River from its confluence with the Cedar R. at Wapello to near Eldora, 5/14 to 5/17/18, by @IIHRUIowa grad student Matt Meulemans. Very interesting!
