@DoomsdayGoth @crasisz2 The W. Richard Stevens books might be getting dated but are excellent. Don't overlook older tutorials on tcpdump, because the filter language is the same for Wireshark.

I'd recommend networksorcery dot com, but they apparently went down in 2022. Still on wayback. Great diagrams.

@Fox0x01 @fbertoneit @Arm I run a web host abuse dept. I would have pushed back hard on this for you and refused takedown, as it appears to be textbook nominative fair use. Most hosts will just roll over for any C&D involving trademark claims though. It's a huge "chilling effect" problem in our industry.

The underlying theme is being able to verify you are building and running the code you think you are, and the code which the community has audited, when using FOSS, in case you're more lost than I am.
