I’m so fucking sad. Every Palestinian lost is a lost full person, a person who had people who loved them, a person with a lifetime of ideas and preferences and dreams. How is this the world we live in?
“I do not consent to my death being passing news. Say, too, that I love life, happiness, freedom, children’s laughter, the sea, coffee, writing, Fairouz, everything that is joyful—though these things will all disappear in the space of a moment.” - Nour al-Din Hajjaj
Human beings should not have to beg for more time just to bury their children.
For the sake of our common humanity, do not stop calling for a permanent ceasefire.
“free palestine from the river to the sea” means palestinians no longer live in an apartheid state and are free of the occupation and have equal rights & representation, not genocide of the jews.
just like “black lives matter” never meant white lives don’t matter.
Today, I am thinking of human beings in Gaza buried under the rubble.
I am thinking of their joys, dreams, hopes & fears.
I wonder, if the dust ever settles, whether opponents of a ceasefire will look back and reflect on the cost of their inhumanity.
We need a ceasefire, now.
"If I die, remember that I, we, were individuals, humans, we had names, dreams and achievements and our only fault was that we were classified as inferior."

Keep my stories alive, so that you keep me alive. Remember that the world that pretended to be the savior of humanity participated in killing it.

Israel is now bombing bus convoys of Palestinians they told to flee to the south of Gaza. 70 killed so far. Thousands aimlessly walk while bombs drop around them. My friend said internet will be cut off in a few hours w/no more contact: “I hope these are not my last words to you”
The population of Gaza is about 2 million. Nearly half are children.
Millions of innocent people cannot be made to pay for Hamas’ horror.
Collective punishment is a war crime. So are blockades to food and water.
We cannot allow dehumanization to descend into further atrocity.
