If we have many solutions each equally optimal we can change variables and receive the same performance. Therefore, part of what is encoded in these variables is redundant and therefore inefficient

On Thursday, the European Parliament votes on Chat Control 1 (the voluntary scanning, not the mandatory scanning, called Chat Control 2). Again.

The Parliament has already voted against Chat Control 1. Two times. But the Council of Ministers and the Parliament President refuse to accept it.

Now, the Council has demanded an urgent procedure. This is a procedure that is meant to be used for new legislative proposals, not proposals that the Parliament has already rejected. An urgent procedure requires an absolute majority to be rejected (361 out of the Parliament's 720 members). This will be difficult to reach, since those who abstain from voting are counted as a yes-vote in an urgent procedure. By scheduling the vote during the summer, they are making it even harder to reach those 361 no-votes. This is downright dirty tactic by the Council and the President of the European Parliament.

@MilksandMatcha I'm in the last months of my master thesis and was already thinking about buying it because the limits on Plus are limiting me but couldn't quite convince me that spending so much money is justified as a student. So this would be perfect! But maybe some needs it more than I do :)

@DavidDuhme Check ich nicht. Wir sollten froh sein, wenn jemand den Job machen will und es dann nicht noch schwerer machen. Vorallem weil das alles überhaupt keinen Einfluss auf die Fähigkeiten des Soldats hat.

Wording find ich zu krass, aber die Forderung selbst, den ÖRR auf Nachrichten/Bildung zu reduzieren, vollkommen richtig. Das kann man als öffentliche Aufgabe ansehen und somit die Finanzierung durch die Allgemeinheit rechtfertigen. Für Unterhaltung gilt das für mich nicht.
