I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: No attempts to restrict the freedoms and opportunities of Illinoisans will be tolerated. I’ve defended the rights of Illinoisans for the last 6 years, and I will continue to do so in Trump’s second term.
I was originally going to hold off on commenting on nominations at this stage but I cannot stay quiet here. I don’t need a confirmation hearing to know that Matt Gaetz is not qualified for Attorney General. I will not support his confirmation.
This is good. Gov. Gavin Newsom in DC and just said how he wants California to be “aggressively proactive & not reactive to the incoming Trump administration” and that he is solely focused on delivering on policy. Real leadership here from Gov. Newsom.
KJP responds to a question about if Biden apologized to Trump during their meeting today for calling him a threat to democracy: "What he says still stands. And it's not just him. You heard this from former [Trump] staffers."
I was a teenage girl when Matt Gaetz decided it was appropriate to body shame and belittle me as a sitting member of Congress and now I get to sit and watch him be nominated as Attorney General of the United States.
Absolutely shameful
Project 2025 will be Donald Trump’s extreme playbook for his second presidency.
Here in Illinois, we’ve taken the proactive steps to protect our state from its reach.
And we will continue to protect Illinoisans from the damage he may attempt to cause.
Dear Media:
STOP saying Trump "selected" or "appointed" a potential cabinet member like it's a done deal.
He NOMINATES them. And they must be CONFIRMED by the Senate, as required by the Constitution.
It's a presidency, not a monarchy.

We the People
Stephen King being kicked off Twitter for calling Elon “the First Lady” is peak fragile masculinity—imagine being the world’s richest man and still feeling dethroned by a single tweet. 💀 ☠️
Zelenskyy: "We are not ready to give our freedom to this fucking terrorist Putin".
Zelenskyy will be studied as a hero, not only for Ukraine, but our current moment in time for generations.
As an immigrant, Elon Musk can't run for president himself, so he spent $130M+ of his own money to buy the presidency for Trump.
Trump will be the one sworn in, but pay attention to who's really pulling the strings.
To recap, the Republican Party has opposed:
-Paid sick leave
-Paid family & medical leave
-Universal childcare
-Universal pre-K
-Tax increases on corporations & the rich
-The expanded Child Tax Credit
-Student debt relief
Doesn't sound like the party of the working class to me.
