Category 5 Super Typhoon Bolaven, the strongest storm on Earth, is nearing tropical cyclone perfection.

The storm has a near perfect circular eye surrounded by deep convection.

The storm currently has 180 mph (290 km/h) sustained winds with gusts to 220 mph (354 km/h), but luckily it will stay out in the open Western Pacific.

Weather is amazing.

@Positivteacha As someone who does supply. I would much rather a decent lesson is left that keeps learners busy and engaged (even if I’m not an expert) than have ‘do a poster on…’ ‘make notes on…’ it’s always so much harder to manage them if this is the case!

@SnapShotRentals It really was! 🤿 Good question. I don’t think it was as bad as I expected. My hands and face got cold. But body was fine until near end. I think the enjoyment of the dive overtook thinking about water temp! Dry suit certainly did it’s job though…thankfully!

Last two days of Enrichment for the @UoCEducation pgce #geographyteacher which has included assisting with fieldwork for GCSE with @SJPHeadTeacher and completing a UN climate change short course. Great work again by everyone involved even in this rain. 🌧️🌍
