This is 3 utterly embarrassing losses by Alabama. Utterly embarrassing showing. Deboer dismantled the greatest dynasty in football in less than 1 season. There needs to be some seriously harsh conversations in Tuscaloosa in the offseason.

@buttermilkroad I don’t think intentional, I think Deboer just wasn’t ready to make that immediate jump to the top of CFB. He may turn out great, but he needs to address some culture, discipline and coordinator issues in the offseason. Failure to adapt is fatal and he didn’t adapt all season

@SaraJessicaSnar Thats true, Saban was 7-6 his first year, but took over a 6-6 roster from the year before. Deboer took over a 12-2 team that played the rose bowl and top 3 in recruiting.

Saban also followed it with an undefeated reg season in 08, there will be similar expectations for Deboer

This is why the committee needs governance over them. They need guidelines. Auto bids and at larges are determined based on 1) X 2) Y 3) Z and set whatever grading criteria they want. Not a biased committee made up of ADs and execs from every conference that all can gain.

Okay as a bama fan I have to rant about the playoff rankings:
- if it’s determined bama is left out, fine. We shouldn’t have lost to Vandy and OU, got it. But the seeding and decision process makes 0 sense.
-why is SMU seeded ahead of the team they just beat? You disincentivize

The conference championship by saying it didn’t matter that you won Clemson you still get a lower seed.
-Tennessee, I hate you, but got screwed with the draw because seeding makes no sense. How does the 11 seed have an infinitely better path than you do? This all makes no sense.

I’m embarrassed. Haven’t been this embarrassed since I was in middle school and we were going 6-6 again in 2006/7. There is a serious culture problem in Bama. Can’t motivate a team with more talent than 99% of the country. 100% on coaches and something has to change. Now.

That is so inexcusable by Bama that I cannot fathom. Your defense holds. You get a punt block and start at the 1. And lose 22 yards and kick a field goal. This is day one stuff. I don’t know what the root problem is here, if it’s Reese or the talent or what, but it’s broke.
