@andyburnham Not surprising. You are responsible for the most disgraceful episode in British politics in many decades - quite possibly ever. Mainstream’s dreadful, underhand coup demonstrates Labour cannot be trusted. The decent Labour MPs are doubtless devastated by your actions.
@elsieblundell@bevcraig More of the same from the ‘US’ campaign. Don’t see much sign of working for those who pay the bills. In recent weeks Labour has trashed its reputation.
@PolitlcsUK To all those pictured. If you are in this photograph you have demonstrated that you are not fit for public office and not worth the salary we pay you. Just not trustworthy and not good enough.
@RupaHuq@andyburnhamHQ@AndyBurnhamGM You should all be utterly ashamed of yourselves. Perhaps I’m wrong, perhaps no one agrees with me but it seems to me the man you are welcoming has none of the requisite attributes to be an MP, let alone PM.
@Claire_journo These ghastly people have no place in government. Insane traitors all, in my opinion. What damage have you done!! Utterly shameful. You have betrayed the people who voted Labour into power. Just go. Go now!
@AndyBurnhamGM The hypocrisy! In recent weeks you have demonstrated beyond a shadow of doubt that you possess none of the attributes required of a PM. If the country is unfortunate enough to have you ‘in charge’ I predict you will be deeply unpopular, fail the electorate and wreck Labour.
So there it is. A ‘handful’ of self-serving MPs have driven out a good, altruistic man in favour of …what? They have shown contempt for millions of voters. They have demonstrated their Party is not worthy of the electorate’s trust and consigned it back to the wilderness.
I don’t normally do politics here. I have no political allegiances and have never voted Labour. However, under Starmer I had respect for the Party. Burnham is not a white knight riding in to save Labour. He is, in my view, a bull in a china shop set to cause irreparable damage.
