@JoQuatsch My students do exactly this. Idea vs evidence. I have also asked them to write a key idea, then on the other side write a director’s method that reinforces that idea e.g Gun plays key role in plot development -> director draws attention to gun using light in scene Y.
A-level MFL taster days coming up! Any clever ideas that have worked well to recruit a-level students? Unsure whether to approach the lit or look at one of the more interesting topics studied…Help! #langchat#mfltwitterati
@katielockett Thanks for answering ! 🙏 I did exam marking for my subject lead interview, so I reckon it’ll be data related. Any tips or experience with data tasks ? 😊
I won't be applying for some amazing opportunities being advertised but I will share what I would've written in an application....🧵
I would focus 'everything' in a school on learning and keep it as the core language for everything that happens.
Welcome to my display hack/tricks thread.
I get loads of questions about my displays so here's to not gatekeeping.

GAME CHANGER using AI @questionwellai
It will write your Google form quizzes FOR YOU if you give it content....
@VEverettmfl@MFL_MissC @GregHorton64 « But don’t study a language as an a-level or degree » seemed a definitive take on the matter. Do you think funding is the only obstacle to colleges offering language courses? Should they replace language a-levels if it came down to (in your opinion)?
@VEverettmfl@MFL_MissC @GregHorton64 Ohh okay yes this is obviously a good choice. Unfortunately both sixth forms I have worked at only do A-level, or nothing…Your original tweet led me to believe you thought students shouldn’t opt for language learning at all in post-16 educational settings!
@VEverettmfl@MFL_MissC @GregHorton64 Ab initio courses are great for those who study a language alongside another discipline, but most people don’t go to uni & every well-intentioned teen I have taught has never managed to follow through with independent language learning. What other answer is there?
