I love this. There are 3 kinds of players that play JV
1. The kid who thinks they’re above it.
2. The kid who loves it and just wants to have fun.
3. The kid that wants to use it as a tool to sharpen skills. Yes, they enjoy it, but they embrace it as more than just a fun time.

Heard a story about a team at state volleyball.

Team — who will play tomorrow — had a girl playing six rotations. Coach went to girl to adjust her role to just play back row. Needed more height.

After a few games, said player asked coach a question.

“Coach, do you think I’ll play front row next year?”

“Yes,” the coach said.

“Then, do you care if I play some JV in the front row so I can get some more reps.”

Kids: Be this player!

Coaches: Encourage this environment.

Parents: Parent this in your kids!

Congratulations to the amazing coach who got her 100th win today at the Nebraska State Volleyball Tournament defeating the previously undefeated, top seed Southwest team. She’ll be leading her #EMFbobcats to a championship tomorrow at the Devaney at 11:00 a.m. Go Cats!!
