Both Haiti and Syria are categorized as Level 4 on the U.S. State Department's travel advisory. "Due not travel for any reason due to kidnapping, crime, terrorist activity, civil unrest, limited health care, hostage taking, and armed conflict."
Yet today's SCOTUS ruling has upended the lives of some 350,000 Haitians and 6,100 Syrians who have spent decades rebuilding their lives in the U.S., and is likely to have implications for TPS holders from about a dozen other countries. This blatant hypocrisy and disregard for human life are impossible to ignore.

If it feels like it's getting harder and harder to avoid being scammed, that's because it is. In the age of artificial intelligence, scammers are using voice cloning that can sound very real, and seniors are often the target. Paul Solman reports on the problem and what you can do to protect yourself.

Five Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" biplanes flying in formation over the airdrome over Love Field in Dallas, 1918.
The Curtiss JN-4 is one of the most influential aircraft in American aviation history. About 95% of American military pilots trained during World War I flew a Jenny at some point. The aircraft became the standard primary trainer for thousands of new aviators. More than 6000 of them were built. After World War I, the Jenny helped jumpstart the barnstorming era when the U.S. military sold hundreds of surplus Jennies to civilians at low prices. Former military pilots used them for aerial shows, wing-walking, parachute jumps, and giving rides to the public, introducing millions of Americans to aviation. I just read that they had a --- surprising to me, at least --- top speed of only 75 mph.
The way he puts his little paws behind his back to mimic the keeper is pure genius.
He's got that "retired and taking a morning stroll" energy down perfectly!
