@billionapostate@John_Matthew_T Also you try to prove it with vague statements ignoring the clearest statement where Jesus declared the Father as only true God and him distinct from that as the messenger the one true God sent.
@billionapostate@John_Matthew_T Jesus response is not that he claims to be God. Ye are called gods in your own books. Jesus said why are you getting mad at me when I claim to just be the son of God i.e. not God himself.
@billionapostate@John_Matthew_T Before Abraham was God. So? That's factual.
You also love to take the pharasees words but ignore Jesus's own response to them. He said are you not also called gods in your book? I only call my self the son of God.
He just refuted them but you ignore his words.
@UgwoegbuV@shovas@RealShahriqKhan Please answer my questions first before we go into analogies that have nothing to do with what I asked.
Why are you ignoring Jesus words?
@paddymiasky@RealShahriqKhan Messiah means annointed one for a job. We believe his mission is to defeat the Dajjal. Why would that make him God again?
Besides id rather just believe Jesus himself when he says the only true God is the Father and he is the messenger sent by him.
God can't die. God knows everything. God does not have a God of his own.
I don't need theology. That's just common sense. That is in the definition of God.
Therefore any god that violates any of those precepts is not God.
Besides I'd rather believe Jesus own words that the only true God is the Father and he is a messenger sent by him.
@LogicFallacyLs@shovas@RealShahriqKhan Sure ignore the clear statements of Jesus. You wished he had never said that the only true God is the Father. That the Father is greater than him. That he has no authority of his own.
I have. God can't be given authority. God can't have a God. Nothing is greater than God.
Jesus himself stated who the one true God is and he stated distinct from the One True God is Jesus whom he has sent.
Please stick to what Jesus has said. Be a true follower of Jesus and ONLY worship who he worshipped.
"The Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)
"I can do nothing of myself." (John 5:30)
John 8:28 β "I do nothing of my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me"
"All authority has been given to me." (Matthew 28:18)
"Not my will, but Thine, be done." (Luke 22:42)
"My Father and your Father, my God and your God." (John 20:17)
"The only true God β and Jesus Christ, whom He sent." (John 17:3)
Jesus clearly stated he has no authority of his own but has to be given authority. He himself has a God that he prayed to and worshipped.
The most clear statement of all that the only true God is the Father and he is a messenger sent by him.
He can have the keys of death and Greek pagan Hades. But whatever he has, he had to be given. God does not get his authority from others.
Jesus clearly stated he has none on his own. Why do you ignore that? He clearly stated who the one true God is. Why do you ignore that? He clearly stated he has a God is his own that he worships and prays to.
Yet you have to resort to Alpha and Omega and First and Last. Unclear statements.
Why do you bring ambiguous statements and ignore the clear ones. At least try to address them. Don't interpret the clear with the unclear statements. Do the opposite.
@John_Matthew_T Before Abraham was, God. I agree!
I also agree with Jesus when he says: And this is life eternal: that they might know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent.
Do you also agree with Jesus?
The Word of God is not God himself. In our paradigm Jesus was not born though the biological process of a man and a woman coming together. Jesus was created by God sayig "Be" and then he was in Mary's womb. He was created by just his word.
Just like he created many things before by saying "Be".
Satan was before Abraham. Adam was before Abraham.
I AM = GOD according to you.
Before Abraham was God. What's the problem here?
Again taking something unclear as I just showed you another valid interpretation.
Jesus never once claimed to be God yet he did claim in very clear statements that he has a God. That the Father is the one true and ONLY God. He is a messenger sent by God. The Father is greater than him. He has no authority of his own but authority has to be given to him.
Why do you ignore Jesus. Why do you want to say he was something he clearly stated that he was not?
Believe in him in what he said about himself.
Why are you ignoring Jesus own words. Jesus is the truth and the light yet you chose do disbelieve that he was given authority and he has a God of how own who he prayed to and worshipped?
We don't believe he is the biological son of God. I have no problem saying he is the Son of God in terms of honor just like the other prophets are referred to as the Sons of God.
The Quran refutes God having a son in the biological sense.
@LogicFallacyLs@shovas@RealShahriqKhan Also you know what he didn't say?
I am God.
Cope. But I prefer you learn and instead believe what he says about himself.
The way is not the destination. If you want to reach San Diego CA you won't get to the I-5 highway and stop. You will take the highway till you reach the destination which is distinct from the way.
Every Prophet was the way to God during the time God sent to for the people God sent them to.
Your saying if you were at the time of Abraham and received the message first hand you would ignore him and his message and somehow be right with God? Abraham was the way to God at his time to for the people he interacted with.
