IOTA 2.0 Testnet is out 🎉🎆
Our mission since 2015 has been to realize the full potential of Blockchain and get it adopted in the real world.
We are marching forward to build #IOTA into one of the leading L1 Blockchains that will bring the real world, real value and real adoption to Web3.
Next we will release our major utility upgrade with the EVM to the production IOTA mainnet 🚀
IOTA works very different than other DLTs.
Validators only have the job of "deciding conflicts" but users issue their blocks themselves with all user-issued blocks being entangled with each other - so concerns like censorship become a thing of the past.
Who is making decisions about pending conflicts, doesn't really matter as it anyway boils down to a coin toss and PoS is simply superior because you can slash attackers that repeatedly try to attack this "decision making process".
It is the fact that anybody can issue blocks without having to first bribe an intermediary like a block producer in PoW that makes IOTA the most decentralized DLT.
ARIMA models have three parameters: 'p', 'q' and 'd'.
They need to be optimized... but, before that, do you know how to interpret each of them?
Learn what each of them mean here 🧵 👇

🌟 DAY 3 #IOTAdvent: We use reality-based #UTXOs because this allows us to optimistically progress the ledger state without having to wait for final confirmation of all transactions.
But why is this significant? In #DLTs waiting for complete confirmation can create bottlenecks, slowing down the whole network. With reality-based UTXOs, @IOTA takes a different path. We're able to advance the ledger by acknowledging transactions that are likely to be confirmed, thus ensuring the ledger's fluidity and responsiveness.
This means that we can keep the network agile and efficient, mirroring the continuous flow of the real world where not everything needs to stop for a single event to be finalized.
Recalling Day 2's discussion, https://t.co/tfBg4w2jD6, our blocks are structured as a #DAG, and this applies to the UTXO model as well. Each UTXO stands for a node in this graph, forming causal links that allow us to trace dependencies. This is key: if a transaction turns out to be malicious and isn't confirmed, we can efficiently isolate and remove it along with its dependent transactions, securing the ledger's integrity.
Conversely, honest transactions benefit from this structure. They're processed swiftly, allowing new transactions to build upon them once they're seen. This is akin to recognizing a familiar face in a crowd and being able to follow their path, understanding the connections as they unfold in real-time. With reality-based UTXOs, #IOTA captures this essence, fostering a ledger that's both secure and dynamically updated. #IOTAdvent #DLT
In the past few days, nothing has changed in the #IOTA project, except for the price. This is directed at the Iota community that lacked faith in the project and are now overjoyed. It's important to have a bit more perspective.
Amazing to watch the project #Alvarium livestream and see how industrial giants are using #IOTA to solve clear business problems. Over 1000 people are participating in the livestream and our community had to setup multiple channels to stream it on Discord 😆❤️
