In February of 2015, 21 men were killed by ISIS terrorist on a beach in Libya. They could have saved their lives by accepting Islam, but knowing what awaited them, they chose Christ. Christians around the world continue to draw inspiration from their faith.

In February 2015, #ISIS murdered 21 #Coptic Christian men on a Libyan beach. Kidnapped in 2014, they were told to deny Christ or die. On February 15, a video showed them in orange jumpsuits. Their final words were โYa Rab Yesouhโ O Lord Jesus. They died faithful, as #martyrs.
Today is the feast of the 21 Coptic martyrs - 20 Egyptian and 1 Ghanaian - who were beheaded by ISIS for not recanting their faith. They were construction workers - ordinary fathers, brothers and sons - with an extraordinary faith.

He was reportedly not a Christian, but the courageous witness to Jesus Christ by his Egyptian Christian friends reportedly inspired him during their captivity, ultimately leading to his martyrdom alongside them. According to some sources, when confronted by the terrorists and asked to reject Jesus, he declared, "Their God is my God.โ
The 21 Coptic Christian martyrs' museum church in Minya, Egypt, honors those exec*ted by ISIS for refusing to renounce their faith in Jesus Christ. The museum includes the belongings of the martyrs such as the orange jumpsuits they were beheaded in, the knots that tied their hands, money found in their pockets, a number of their passports, as well as coffins in which their bodies were flown to Egypt.
