My passion for water started from a very young age in the beautiful rives of my hometown in Panama. These same rivers are an ideal natural lab to explore new data collection techniques for small tropical ungauged catchments

Today I presented the advancements of my PhD research titled “Hybrid approaches to model salinity in Gatun Lake, Panama Canal” at #EGU24.
Thanks to my supervisors at
@ihedelft for the support and my scholarship sponsored by @senacyt.
Last time the #UConnHuskies men’s basketball team won a national championship (in 2014), I remember celebrating in Gampel Pavilion just like that. I was a student back then, but I’ll be a Husky Forever! #BleedBlue
¡Feliz viernes! 😊

There are hundreds of software tools available for research right now.
But in reality most of them are not worth your time.
Here are 8 tools that I've actually use, that can super-charge your research productivity.

I am recruiting PhD students to start in my group in Summer or Fall 2023 to work on multiple funded projects. If you're interested in water quality, climate, reservoirs, wetlands and/or nature-based solutions, contact me! @psugeography@PSUEarth#VanMeterLab
Dear water community, please consider registering to present your research at IHE's annual PhD Symposium which will be held in person in Delft and online everywhere. Deadline for abstract submission is September 30th.

Participation is free. To present, submit an abstract by 30 Sep ➡️ https://t.co/xAkT2MQqP4
When I was a kid I saw a documentary of how this was built and since then I had wanted to study water engineering in The Netherlands. After so many years, that dream has finally come true and now I’m studying my PhD in Delft.
I'm looking for a new PhD student! Will have some flexibility to choose their project, but will likely involve some combination of groundwater, InSAR, geophysics, process-based and machine learning modeling. If interested, see this link: https://t.co/3HikK2CXpk
I joined @ihedelft 4 months as a PhD Fellow and so far my experience here has been amazing. There are many opportunities to grow professionally and as a person while contributing to solve the most pressing water challenges of the century. Thank you @senacyt for funding me.
Studying the Navier-Stokes and Shallow Water Equations this morning. I will be always grateful to my mentor, Dr. Gonzalo Pulido (R.I.P.), for teaching me these eqns and introducing me to the beautiful world of Computational Hydraulics. #PhDLife#TheMathOfWater@ihedelft@senacyt
¡Felicidades!
