@PttvNewsX This scheme is inappropriate and wasteful. Car loans could have been given to the MLAs who do not have vehicles with easy EMI. Alternately District Collectors could have been directed to provide vehicles to the MLAs to tour their constituencies.
This piece is from M G Devesahayam, an upright person-anti-corruption activist, who is a former Army and IAS officer. To those who are keen on hearing a version different from the popular narrative being spun by a Tamil feature film - Parasakthi:
"This peaceful and tranquil atmosphere was rudely disturbed on 11 February, 1965. I had taken the battalion football team to the Coimbatore Air Force Station in the evening for a friendly match in which we won. On our return in a one-tonner, our route was blocked and we had to take a long detour to Madhukarai. On reaching I found that the battalion was on ‘stand-to’ ready to move at short notice. Enquiry revealed that the week-long anti-Hindi violence in Tamil Nadu had escalated and gone out of control of the police and district administration. Since Coimbatore and Salem districts were worst affected, Army had been requisitioned to bring the situation under control."

Some questions: (thanks Devasahayam sir):
🌿If the Election Commission is anyway not going to provide any videos of the voting, then why take the trouble of shooting those videos?
🌿If the Election Commission is not going to count the VVPAT slips, then why have a VVPAT printer and waste the country's resources?
🌿If the Election Commission is not going to provide Electoral Rolls in machine readable form (as in digital format and not as a PDF) then what is the need to have electoral rolls, might as well do away with them and save the nation money?
🌿If the Election Commission is going to facilitate the election of BJP in every contest, then why have elections at all? Let us do away with the sham that is carried out by the Election Commission. #ECI #ElectionFraud #India
50 years after the Emergency, India faces a new crisis. Not just loss of rights, but the loss of real leaders. Power is centralized. Dissent is punished. Institutions are weakened. Democracy isn’t dying overnight, it’s fading in silence
A Writ has just been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the recent amendments to the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961.
The Election Commission, a Constitutional body, charged with the conduct of free and fair elections cannot be allowed to unilaterally, and without public consultation, amend such a vital law in such a brazen manner.
This is especially true when that amendment does away with public access to essential information that makes the electoral process more transparent and accountable.
The integrity of the electoral process is fast eroding. Hopefully the Supreme Court will help restore it.
My must see interview about Central Government’s attempt to frustrate the order of Punjab & Haryana High court to supply me the entire video footage/form 17C of elections of all 90 assembly seats of Haryana. https://t.co/F0UbEnIKiu
What is Modi Govt hiding?
Why did it suddenly change Election Rules to STOP public from asking & examining
Election records and data?
So frightened is Modi + Election Commission combine
— that, as soon as High Court
intervened
— they took away rights https://t.co/v7ampUnUSR

In the prevailing darkness of new emergency, men & women move about like figures in silhouette. This is the twilight when they should regroup themselves 4 the task @ hand.
