It has taken me some time to find the courage to write this tweet. Nobody wants to be thought of as weird. I'm not weird. I'm normal. I insist that I'm normal.
But a person at Golf Digest—I won't say who, although I will absolutely out them in the eventual story—had the idea of a story about the best place to urinate on a golf course in the entire USA. As in, a concerted search for the best secluded pee spot out in nature on America's courses, and I thought it was a brilliant idea.
Many of us, I think, have our own favorites. But if I'm going to hunt for this idyllic spot, this no. 1 relief area, I need to crowd source, and if I'm going to crowd source, I have to, at some point, ask people. This is what I'm doing now. Please respond here or at [email protected], make your case, you can be anonymous, or just RT if you don't have an answer but believe in the mission of telling this important story.
some FAQ:
Q: Why don't you just go in the bathroom at the turn? A: Because it's way better to pee outside.
Q: How secluded does the spot have to be? A: EXTREMELY secluded. It must be reasonably invisible to everyone, obviously, especially nearby homes.
Q: What makes a good pee spot? A: That's up to you. I want your interpretation. Serenity? A great view? Something more personal? This is an art rather than a science, though I will be treating it like science in picking a winner.
Thank you for your attention, and for agreeing that this is not weird.
