It’s a big day in Fulton! SERVE Inc. is passing out gifts for 488 Callaway County children in need. The Adopt-A-Family program makes this happen. @KRCG13

Volunteers sign up and receive a wishlist from an area family. The volunteers shop for the families and SERVE Inc distributes the gifts with the help of more volunteers.

I spoke with Chris Moreland of the Commissioner’s Office and he says the statue is scheduled to be put back on top of the Capitol dome sometime next week. The plans have not changed as of now, despite the debate that’s begun over the statue.

Yesterday we posted a story about Rep. Mike Moon’s request to the governor regarding the return of the statue of the Roman goddess Ceres. Hundreds of people have commented on our story weighing in on the matter. @KRCG13

Priority for these ‘Blitz Build’ homes will be given to those impacted by the May 22 tornado and flooding that occurred this past spring. The disasters put a great deal of pressure on the affordable housing crisis, which was already an issue in Jefferson City.

Exciting things happening at @RiverCityH4H in 2020! The organization’s executive director says it will be doubling its building efforts by building four additional homes next year. @KRCG13

Myers said investigators believe the man who was shot forced his way into the home, based on evidence at the scene. He said the man who was shot did not have a weapon at the time of the incident.

Followed up with Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers today regarding this weekend's fatal shooting. He said officers received a call around 3 a.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired in the 600 block of Jefferson St. Upon arrival, officers found a man had been shot inside a home.

Myers says the occupant of the home to which officers responded identified himself as the shooter. He added the man has been fully cooperative with the investigation.

Since 1986 the @FarmBureau has surveyed prices for ingredients in what they consider the 'classic Thanksgiving day meal.' The meal includes turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, peas, relish tray, cranberries, rolls with butter and pumpkin pie. @KRCG13

This year, the survey estimated the classic meal for ten people costs $48.91. The @MOFarmBureau says Missourians can to expect to pay less - just $46.67. Today I went to Thriftway in Linn to see if I could purchase the whole meal under budget.
