Minister @Mglsd_UG, Hon. Lt. Gen. @Tumukunde_ met with the GROW Project and PSFU executive management and leadership, who briefed him on the project’s implementation progress, particularly the GROW Financing Facility (GFF). Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Ruth Aisha Biyinzika, GROW Project National Coordinator, highlighted collateral requirements by PFIs as a persistent barrier preventing women from accessing the loans.
Gen. Henry committed to engaging PFIs to address collateral requirements that hinder women’s access to financing. He also called for reforms to extend GROW loans beyond urban areas into underserved regions, committing to work with GROW and PSFU leadership to ensure the loans reach their intended beneficiaries, including women at the grassroots.
Today, Mr. Mondo Kyateka, Assistant Commissioner for Youth and Children Affairs and Acting Commissioner, officially handed over office to Ms. Emily Ajiambo, the new Commissioner for the Department.

WE ARE UGANDA - A Nation in Many Voices | The Olive School Independence Tribute 2026
🇺🇬 What does it mean to say Uganda?
More than a flag.
More than an anthem.
More than borders drawn on a map.
Uganda is the people we carry with us, the home we build together, and the future we place in the hands of the next generation.
Through different languages, cultures and voices, the children of The Olive School, Namugongo tell one story:
Different voices. One home. One Uganda. 🇺🇬
