Not caring about him wheeling six chicks at once when he was married is your choice
Not caring that he pretends to be a populist when he went to one of the richest prep schools in America is your choice
Not caring he went to war saying he always wanted to kill people is your choice
Not caring he went to work for Blackwater after serving and now calls the army very dumb and stupid is your choice
Not caring that he made fun of Purple Heart recipients is your choice
Not caring that he jerks off in porta potties is your choice
Not caring about all the shit he’s deleted on Reddit and he never thought would see the light of day and shows what a giant jackass is he is your choice
Not caring that he is a Nazi is your choice but if you support him and promote him don’t ever lecture anybody about the moral high ground again because you are a piece of shit
Clarence Thomas grew up in poverty in the Jim Crow south. English is his second language.
So while he’s probably too hardened to let this bother him, it sickens me that he gets called a race-traitor by rich young people angry that he opposes racial discrimination against anyone
I'm just wondering where all the vapors were when Democratic-majority Pennsylvania state Supreme Court issued at the end of February 2018 a new congressional district map that would go into effect weeks later in May of that year? It marked the first time a state court threw out federal congressional boundaries and was literally drawn by the Democrat majority Pennsylvania Supreme Court heavily favoring Democrats.
If we were to judge Graham Platner by the standards we have used against every other public figure in the last 10 years, he is easily the most obvious Nazi to run for a federal office
It really is remarkable how awful the Biden administration was. A mixture of spectacular incompetence, malicious disregard for common sense, and political extremism
It flies under the radar because Biden was mentally gone, but the whole thing was a massive trainwreck
All three of the liberal justices dissented from the order allowing Texas to use their new congressional map.
But these same justices all voted with a unanimous court back in February to allow California to use its new maps.
The three liberal justices are simply progressive activists wearing black robes.
Last night, another act of political violence shook the nation. At this point, no one should be surprised.
“The President is a fascist.”
“Eat the rich.”
“Let the streets soak in capitalists’ blood.”
“Globalize the intifada.”
“By any means necessary.”
This isn’t fringe rhetoric anymore. It’s been normalized, echoed on campaign trails, and amplified on podcasts where politicians regularly appear.
You don’t get to indulge this language, elevate those who use it, and then act shocked when it turns into violence.
We need to get back to sanity before we lose our country.
Just for the record, anyone who actually understands Harry Potter knows Dolores Umbridge would force you to write down “trans women are women” until it was etched into your skin.
Gorsuch to Kagan, Sotomayor, Jackson: In every Biden executive order case, you voted to uphold what the President did. However vague the statute, however unprecedented the action, however attenuated the causation, you voted yes. So why are you in the majority with me in this case? Why?
Gorsuch to Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh: In every Biden executive order case, you voted to strike down what the President did. You said vague statutes, unprecedented actions, attenuated causation, that those are all fatal. So why are you in the dissent in this case? Why?
Eileen Gu is a traitor.
She was born in America, raised in America, lives in America, and chose to compete against her own country for the worst human rights abuser on the planet, China.
She built her fame in a free country, then chose to represent an authoritarian regime while cashing in on endorsements linked by watchdog groups to mass detention and forced labor camps.
When human rights come up, she disappears.
That’s not neutrality.
That’s a choice.
She chose to play for a country responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of its own people and that is running concentration camps right now, instead of the country where she was born and given opportunity.
You don’t get to enjoy the freedoms of U.S. citizenship while acting as a global PR asset for the Chinese Communist Party. By choosing to promote the CCP on the world stage, Eileen Gu forfeited any moral claim to America and should not keep her U.S. citizenship.
She chose Communism over Freedom.
The moment was Covid. It happened. Almost every journalist in the nation failed to relay reliable information, instead succumbing to panic and the widest-spread daily curtailment of civil liberties in my lifetime. The rare figures who didn't were silenced or stifled or removed.
Don Lemon wasn’t arrested for exercising his first-amendment rights.
He was arrested for preventing other Americans from exercising their first-amendment rights.
In a hyper-partisan environment, it's difficult to communicate my admiration for Justice Kagan, who is fantastically sharp and bitingly incisive in her oral interrogations and written opinions
"It's all very clear on video."
It is, but not the way you think.
Here's the story of how Renee Good died.
She and her wife probably parked their car to interfere with ICE's movements. Her car did not completely block the road—cars could and did pass her—but her intent to cause ICE trouble seems obvious.
Jonathan Ross parked his car to the left of hers. He got out and started filming using his cell phone in his right hand. He crossed IN FRONT of Good's car, even though her engine was running, which violated procedure and common sense. Good did not try to run down Ross.
As Ross passed around the driver's side, she said to him, "It's fine, dude. I'm not mad at you!" This can be seen as placating, passive-aggressive, or whatever you want to read into her words. Ross said nothing.
As he passed around the rear of the car, he encountered Rebecca Good, Renee's wife. Rebecca was more antagonistic, making fun of Ross filming their license plate "we don't change our plates every morning." Ross remains silent.
Ross continues to circle the car, but on the left side, he switches his cell phone from his right to his left hand, leaving his right hand free. As he rounds the front corner of her car again, two more ICE agents, who have gotten out of their truck, now began to yell at Renee Good.
"Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get out of the fucking car." One agent grabs the handle of her car door and tries to open it. This drastically amps up the tension. What had been a fairly calm scene careens out of control. One has to wonder what might have happened if they had approached calmly, like typical police officers, and simply tried talking to her through her open window.
Faced with the shouting agents, one trying to grab her door handle, Renee Good reacts and backs her car up, in my opinion to give her more room to make a right turn, away from the officers. There seems an element of panic here.
At the moment one agent finishing saying "get out of the fucking car," Ross is at the RIGHT-hand corner of Good's car. He continues to walk, going in FRONT of her car as she is now backing up (again, against protocol), his movement and the car's movement combine to bring him rapidly to the front left (driver's side). Now we hear Rebecca Good say "drive baby drive," presumably (foolishly) telling Renee to flee.
Renee's car now begins to go move and Ross draws his gun and fires.
His first shot goes through the left corner of her front windshield as she's turning. She continues her turn, heading down Portland Avenue, as Ross fires two more shots. One or more of these shots is what kills Renee Good.
Despite claims by some, it is unclear whether Ross was ever hit by her car. The most blurry, grainy video, shot from a distance seems to show Ross being hit, but the closer videos are much less clear. He seems to stagger a bit but whether that was deliberate hop by Ross or a graze by the car is unclear. There may have been a side-brush by the car, but Ross remains standing, not tottering or spinning, and firing.
Did Ross have reason to fear for his life? I can't know. I don't think he should have feared, given Renee's previous actions, but a 4000 pound SUV is a deadly weapon.
A better question might be: Even if he was in fear for his life, why did he shoot? A bullet would not stop a charging vehicle. We know this because the bullet actualy DID NOT stop the car. Instead, Good's car continued its turn and kept going down the avenue until it crashed into a parked car.
A safer choice seems to be to dodge (he's already at the car's left corner) and let the car go past him. As it is, the car goes past him anyway, although it may have grazed him (again, this remains unclear).
To recap:
—Good was probably foolish to park in the middle of the street.
—Ross made two bad choices to walk in front of Good's car twice.
—The two approaching ICE agents escalated rather than deescalated by shouting, cursing and demanding Good get out of the car while grabbing her door handle. This gung-ho approach drastically increases the tension of the moment.
—Once one officer grabs her door handle, Good seems to have made the very bad decision to try and flee. Her wife wrongly encourages her.
—Once her car begins forward movement, Ross decides to draw and shoot three times rather than dodge. This doesn't stop Good's car, but does kill her.
