Meet your new TypeORM maintenance team!
Thanks Naor for organizing the first maintainer call. It's really exciting to see this project coming back to life with a motivated group of individuals pushing things forward.
Denver made headlines last year when it gave more than 4,700 residents a massive discount on e-bikes. Now, new data shows specifically how voucher recipients rode, and why their new rides changed their lives. (HT @ridereport)

In 2022, Denver launched an ebike incentive program. 4,734 Denver residents became new ebike owners in just 9 month.
The popularity of Denver's ebike rebates exceeded expectations and generated local and national coverage.

This report backs up what many have felt for a long time: ebike subsidies represent one of the best investments a government can make as part of its transportation, climate, and economic strategy. Special shoutouts to @NellePierson@brianellin for leading Ride Report's efforts!
I recently had the opportunity to chat with @chris_whong about how we use @Mapbox at @RideReport.

We're working with lots of cities to help share mobility data - here's a look at Denver (which is particularly exciting to me, having worked there in the past).
It's wonderful to see people engage with this data and I'm optimistic it can be used to help improve infrastructure.
I’ve been away for a while so I’m likely late to the party, but this @DenverDOTI visualization of Denver’s shared bike and scooter usage is really informative for network planning.

Thrilled to see the launch of Portland's Open Data Portal today! Powered by MDS, this provides the community with more insight into how shared e-scooters and bikes are used around the city.
@BIKETOWNpdx We're excited to announce the launch of a new #OpenData Portal in partnership with the Portland-based tech company @RideReport. This first-of-its-kind collaboration shows aggregated quarterly trip data and provides more transparent access to information.

It's a project I've put a lot of work into over the last year and am really proud of it!
There were lots of interesting engineering challenges around aggregating trips to protect privacy, correcting weird GPS data, and presenting it in a (hopefully) useful way.
So excited that we're launching this open data portal today with Portland! 🚲
Accurate and public transit data is a key step towards improving access and safety.
This makes data from shared bike and scooter programs available for all to explore.

A good friend just launched a Kickstarter for their board game, Last Year of Carbon.
I've played the demo version of the game a few times and it's really fun! Consider backing the project if you're interested

It's those ugly parts that contain so much of the important learnings. They're hard to talk about and difficult to understand, but that's where most progress is made.
80/20 is a great starting point, but the deep dives are where I learn so much more. It is what sets you apart.
I've really been noticing this more lately - lots of people want to skip over the ugly parts.
"People forget that the devil is in the details. The first 20% everyone knows to say on Twitter. The remaining 80% is the ugly, nasty, hacky, unglamorous shit nobody talks about"

Don't spend your life exerting 20% effort...
hoping for 80% results...
only to look back and wonder why you never hit 100% on anything.
a response to @ShaanVP and @stephsmithio who are my inspirations (really, I mean it)
