FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL: Tinubu Making Nigerians Pay More for Petrol Than Other OPEC Oil-producing Nations
1. In Libya, petrol costs N31.71 per liter.
2. In Kuwait, petrol costs N871.82 per liter.
3. In Iran, petrol costs N14.70 per liter.
4. In Saudi Arabia, petrol costs N777.52 per liter.
5. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), petrol costs N1,250.52 per liter.
6. In Algeria, petrol costs N474.52 per liter.
7. In Angola, petrol costs N440.60 per liter.
8. In Venezuela, petrol costs N47.39 per liter.
9. In Iraq, petrol costs N870.41 per liter.
10. In Nigeria, petrol costs N1,400 per liter. It requires 44 minutes of work to afford one liter of petrol, which is about 369% of the minimum wage per day. Based on a minimum wage of N70,000, and at N1,400 per liter for gasoline, it will take almost one month of work to afford 40 liters, which fills a standard fuel tank of a car in Nigeria.
What this data shows is that the Bola Tinubu administration has heartlessly and scandalously pushed a God-given natural resource like sweet crude (petrol) out of the reach of the common man in Nigeria. Petrol is costlier in Nigeria than in other oil-producing and oil-exporting OPEC-member nations. This is opprobrious and insalubrious to imagine.
Bola Tinubu and the APC must go for millions of struggling Nigerians to begin to have a breath of fresh air again...
- he increased NECO from 30,000 to 50,000
- he removed general electricity subsidy
- he increased tertiary institutionโs tuition fees
- he also increased international passport fees from 50,000 to 100,000 last year
Nigerians are being priced out of basic civic entitlements. This is bad leadership!!

Bandits kidnapped a medical doctor. They tied him up, set up fire, grabbed his hand and put it inside the burning fire. Everyday, they burn a portion of his hand while he watched & screamed of severe pain. They kept burning the hand daily until they reached his shoulder. They then collected 15 million naira ransom and still killed him. These are the animals government wants to forgive & reward with free houses.
