As session wraps up so does my time at WRTV. My last day is March 16th. I have accepted a position with @CBS58 in Milwaukee as their Capitol corespondent. Thank you to everyone in Indy for trusting me these last 4 years. It’s been my honor and privilege to cover this state.
On another note we had zero service at President Trumps event today. Well over 200 people ended up showing up after I posted my initial tweet. This video shows supporters standing in the rain to hear him speak.
Thank you for the shout out! Wisconsin has been so kind to me so far! Still have a lot to learn and these first two months have been busy! But I am learning and growing every day.
Around 200 folks are here to attend President Trumps round table “Fighting for American Farmers”. Folks in line told me they got tickets to the event. 200 is just an estimate there could be more.
I am in Chippewa County today where President Donald Trump is expected to hold a round table to discuss his Agricultural policies. Farmers, what questions do you have for the president? I don't know if I will get a question with him or not but I want to hear from you regardless.
Governor Evers sits down with the owner of Oscars Frozen Custard in Waukesha, where he is discussing some of the agricultural policies he has signed in to law. It comes 3 days before president Trump is set to come to Wisconsin to discuss his ag policies.
@MhacklerTV is in Dane County where another protest was held outside Ridglan Farms calling for the release of the remaining beagles still held in the facility.
Protesters are outside of Ridglan Farms in Blue Mounds to urge the research facility to release the remaining 650
Dogs currently in the facilities possession. They don’t want these dogs to end up forgotten. @CBS58
Appreciate @CBS58's @MhacklerTV featuring my @BPC_Bipartisan colleague Emma Waters on the housing legislation before Congress, breaking down how streamlining federal environmental reviews could help expand housing supply and lower costs. https://t.co/VLa9Vw2a6X
@wisconsin_now Hi there. I am a new reporter here in Wisconsin. I took over the Capitol Correspondent Position at CBS 58. I unfortunately did not get this letter in my email but am interested in covering this. Feel free to message me or send me the letter in my email.
Just got off a productive call with the USDA where I learned Ridglan Farms has been told to surrender their federal breeding license by July 1 or the USDA would take official action.
They also gave us an official answer on how many dogs are left at Ridglan: 650. Even though Ridglan is losing their state (and potentially federal) licenses, it doesn't stop the on-site research they're conducting. I'll continue to work with the USDA and NIH to shut down the entire facility and find homes for the 650 remaining dogs!
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson invites Republican candidate for governor Tom Tiffany to tour the city’s election systems and meet with election workers.
The letter was sent after these comments: https://t.co/bnMp00FCK2
Covering the @WisGOP convention today. Several speakers lined up. Hoping to talk with @TomTiffanyWI at some point today. Wisconsinites what would you like to hear from GOP lawmakers today?
Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, who's running for governor, declines to say if last night's surplus vote was a good or bad outcome, instead looking to November.
